Portable Fire Extinguishers and Cabinets

They can be small but of such a crucial importance, as they are the first line of defense in case of any fire emergency. They are an integral part of the fire safety provisions in any building. Extinguishers are of different types, each with a specific use, therefore selecting an extinguisher for any of the type of fire, is important. The classes of fire are:
A → Ordinary Fires such as wood, paper, & cloth etc
B → Flammable liquids & gases such as fuel, paint, oil, & gasoline etc
C → Electrical Equipment
D → Metals such as magnesium, phosphorus, and titanium etc

Following are the categories of fire extinguishers in respect to different classes of fire.
Dry Chemical Powder (DCP): DCP can be used on all fire classes.
Water Store Pressure (WSP): This is basically used on class A fires.
Carbon Dioxide (CO2): This is specifically used on the fires due to electricity or electrical equipment.
Halotron: It is a clean agent and can be used on all fires.
Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF): This is specifically used on class B fires.
Fire extinguishers are often kept in cabinets in order to keep them safe.

Fire Hydrant System

In cases of fire, efficient response and downtime of your safety systems can mean the difference between huge operational losses or a salvageable business. Our Hydrant System is the one; you can always count on in such situations.

A fire hydrant system is a safety measure or emergency equipment required in some buildings that comprises a series of components that when assembled together provide a source of water to assist fire authorities in a fire. The components include piping, fitting, Hose reels, Hose cabinets, hydrants & pumps. Every hydrant has one or more outlets to which a fire hose may be connected. In order to provide sufficient water for firefighting, hydrants are sized to provide a minimum flow rate of about 250 gallons per minute (945 liters per minute), although most hydrants can provide much more. Three types of pumps are installed to ensure the smooth functioning of Hydrant system i-e Jockey, Electric & Diesel Pump. Buildings that have a hydrant system may have fewer chances of losses since firefighters should be able to more rapidly extinguish a fire.

Fire Sprinklers

Fire sprinkler or sprinkler heads are components of a fire sprinkler system that discharges water when the effects of a fire have been detected, such as when a predetermined temperature has been exceeded. Fire sprinklers are extensively used worldwide, with over 40 million sprinkler heads fitted each year. In buildings protected by fire sprinklers, over 99% of fires were controlled by fire sprinklers alone.

We have a wide variety of pendent, flush, horizontal sidewall and concealed sprinklers from Globe Sprinklers, USA for commercial and residential use.
